Kristen Dunst plays a Murakami Princess in Akihabara

Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami has a fun new project that will be exhibited at the Tate Modern in London. For his new project, Murakami collborates with Hollywood director, McG. The film is titled "Akihabara Majokko Princess," in which actress Kirsten Dunst plays a "Murakami Princess," while she dances and sings on the street of -Akihabra the electronic shopping district in Tokyo. Through this film, the artist hopes that it will erode what he sees as an artificial boundary between high and low art by introducing elements from pop culture into a more formal museum space. Also he wishes to to protray something that is seen to be very Japanese but with a twist.
